Melbourne will host its annual Buddha’s Day and multicultural Festival this weekend at Federation Square.

Celebrating Buddha’s Birthday, this Festival is a multicultural and multifaith celebration that works to encourage community spirit and social harmony over the two days.

Offering a range of activities, including a Taste of Asia vegetarian food fair, tai chi, world peace blessing ceremony, tea ceremony, baby blessing ceremony, animal sanctuary and multicultural concert, the two day event has more than 30 activities on offer.

This year’s theme looks at ‘Consensus and Openness’ will encourage visitors to

embrace diversity, social and community cohesion and activities like meditation and mindfulness activities will be available.

Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival is on Saturday, 10-7 and Sunday 10-5 at Federation Square.
