2020 has been a year of change like no other... so spare a thought for the Christmas carol organisers who have been working to deliver a unique Christmas offering: livestreamed carols by candlelight for everyone at home!

Definitely a unique offering, this year's Christmas season will see Stonnington Council provide carols broadcasting from Chapel off Chapel through a free livestream concert, at 7.30pm on this Sunday December 13, 2020.

City of Stonnington Chief Executive Officer Jacqui Weatherill said, “It’s been a hard year for us all, but this is the time to celebrate family and community and go into the New Year on an optimistic note. So gather your household, don your Christmas hat and light your candle for a night of fun and festive celebrations in your very own home!”

Hosted by Australia's leading lady Rhonda Burchmore and backed by The Jack Earle Big Band, this Christmas concert filmed at the iconic Chapel Off Chapel is set to bring a whole lot of seasonal cheer to living rooms across Melbourne.

Carol lovers will be delighted by performances of festive favourites from local talent including The Masked Singer 2020 Winner and Neighbours’ own Bonnie Anderson, Chicago star Alinta Chidzey, and Wentworth actor Zahra Newman.

The concert will also be broadcast on an outdoor screen in Prahran Square and Central Park, allowing locals to get into the Christmas spirit together in a socially-distanced manner.

The latest updates and livestream link to the event will be available on the City of Stonnington’s website.

So join in the festive cheer & carol along on Stonnington's online livestream on their Youtube or website!
