Fascination in the world leads to a fascination with books and few books are as brilliant as ones at the Melbourne Rare Book Fair being held this weekend.
Covering all genres of books from historical documents, medical journals, maps, legal volumes, bibles, children’s books and all types of print products, the fair is hosted and organised on a voluntary basis on behalf of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB).
The fair hosts roughly than 29 local and International booksellers offering a range of specialities for book enthusiasts and specialists alike. Treasures this year include a Jane Austen vintage book collection, Japanese erotica scrolls from Kagerou Bunko and precious maps from Antique Print Map Room.
The Melbourne Rare Book Fair is one of the key events of the Melbourne Rare Book Week, who are also hosting events over the weekends, see the Rare Book Week program here.
