Celebrating everything Blues, the seventh District Docklands Blues Music Festival is on again this weekend, offering more than 20 local and international artists and bands over the two days.
Playing the music of the Deep South blues, the event boasts some the country’s foremost blues musicians, hosting continuous music in a variety of indoor and outdoor stages and licensed venues. The event aims to highlight and support the extraordinary Australian blues music scene.
Held over four stages, including the Wonderland Stage and the Urban Alley Brewery Stage, headliners include the Chicago blues outfit Electric Blues Collective, Bendigo blues favourite Bill Barber, Sydney sensation PJ O’Brien, Geelong’s Brian Fraser, country blues band Rhythm X Revival, Melbourne Blues Society’s Youth in Blues, among many others!
Offering a great selection of live music from local, Australian and international talent, this free event will have a party atmosphere in one of Melbourne’s quickest growing urban spaces.
