Melbournians are spoilt for choice when it comes to wine events, but few get as unique as the ‘Everything in its Right Place’ Wine festival, on for the second year running in Daylesford this Sunday, 10 June.
With more than 30 producers of wines, this event provides a one-of-a-kind showcase of wines made largely in the ‘natural wine’ style – showing the best of a ‘mindful’ wine culture - so nothing commercial, nothing too tinkered or manipulated - just real wine made by local or regional producers. Effectively, this show tries to showcase the ‘land’ (or terroir) ‘not the hand’ in the wines on offer.
Learn about the process of wine-making, starting from the very basics to talking about the pet nats, what orange wine is, skin contact, biodynamic wines, no additives and everything in between, this is the show that teaches you why wine making is an art and how nature has a bigger part to play in it that we normally expect!
Certain to surprise and delight, the day’s event, held in the historical Daylesford Town Hall, will also feature from local chefs and a bar to purchase bottles, plus cheese and charcuterie as well. The Hall will also have DJs and a cocktail bar, and is a brilliant place to toast your new found knowledge in wine!
See, taste and swill your way to the best day at ‘Everything in its Right Place’ festival on the 10th of June!
