The Transitions Film Festival showcases a range of ground-breaking documentaries about social and technological innovations, revolutionary ideas and trailblazing change makers working to enable and lead the way to a better world.

Aiming to inspire, inform and engage audiences to cutting-edge ideas, the festival is on in Melbourne from the 21 February – 8 March 2019. The Festival is showing in Australia’s five capital cities, including screenings in Hobart and Alice Springs.

The Festival offers more than 30 films, including short film compilations, and addresses topics such as climate change, economic crisis, resource overconsumption, overpopulation, etc, and profiles some innovative ways being developed around the world to manage change locally and globally. The festival will also host many speakers on the films, including access to film-makers and activists inspiring the collection of films on offer.

Established in 2012, the Transition Film Festival is a visionary program dedicated to spotlighting the complex challenges, cutting-edge ideas and creative innovations, as well as mega-trends, that are redefining what it means to be human.
