Getting out of the winter rut and getting a Spring in your step can be as easy as going to the 2017 Fitness Show at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on this weekend.

Providing the best in fitness advice and hosting a range of nutritionists and fitness identities this show can be the motivational boost and energise you need to get you closer to your exercise goal this summer!

Formerly the Fitness and Health Expo, the show aims to cater for all types of fitness audiences, roughly divided into three groups, these are: the Active fitness enthusiast, the Strength enthusiast (who enjoys bodybuilding or strength training) and the Industry, or people who work in the fitness and health industries.

The show offers the chance to discover and find out the latest in fitness technology and research, enabling visitors to see the latest products, accessories, classes, or even compete in events and listen to industry experts.

Some of the activities on offer include:

  • A healthy living stage: offering a stage to listen to the latest in nutrition and tips to improve mind, body and soul. Guests will include some well-known nutritionists and provide some sugar-free recipes

  • The Arena: will provide a workout area to meet and train with celeb trainers like Lola Berry and Commando Steve, among others

  • Muscle Beach area: is a new feature, where some of the most aesthetic physiques will be running open workouts in a Venice Beach style gym. Some leading names in bodybuilding will be attending

  • Powerlifting Championship: featuring the strongest men and women in the country tackling all-time records in a competition run by Powerlifting Australia

  • ‘What should I eat? Panel discussion: featuring a clear discussion on the best food to eat featuring panel members: Michelle Bridges, David Gillespie, Ellie Bullen and Tim Robands. Discussing one of the most important and constantly changing issues of our time, this event will be on Sunday, October 15, 11am-12.30pm.
