Melbournians are in for a treat with Federation Square transforming into Shepp Square, a two-week festival offering the best food, events and family activities from the Shepparton region over two weeks, from the 9th – 21st April 2018.

Featuring some of the best lifestyle activities on offer, including the region’s dynamic food scene, agricultural offerings, indigenous culture, creative arts and family activities, the two weeks provide some insights into all this region hasto offer.

Fed Square CEO Jonathan Tribe said, “we are delighted to be working with Shepparton Council on Shepp Square. Over two weeks, Melbournians and visitors to Melbourne can experience the best of regional Victoria, right here in the heart of the city.”

Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe says, “it is exciting to showcase Greater Shepparton to the people of Melbourne. With a special theme every day, people will be able to indulge in our region’s delicious food, immerse in our unique indigenous culture and experience the amazing diversity of our multicultural communities.’’

As one of Victoria’s key regional centres, Greater Shepparton is one of Australia’s biggest Foodbowls, producing 25 percent of Victoria’s fresh produce. Visitors can expect to milk a ‘not so real’ cow, dig for veggies, or get involved in a baked beans eating competition!

Shepp Square will also have pop-up bars hosted by Cheeky cider, Furphy and Dainton beer, and wine enthusiasts will be able to enjoy Tallis and Longieat Wine at the event.

The creative arts are well represented by Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) who will also be on site with Shepparton Festival, the Australian Piano Awards and Nerdmania – Victoria’s largest pop culture expo. To compliment this visitors are encouraged to check out the famous Shepparton Moooving Art Cows.
