BOAA Artistic Director Julie Collins says BOAA has a strong focus on diversity. “BOAA will be the largest showcase of Australian art ever presented. BOAA ART 2018 will have a strong Aboriginal focus, as well as celebrating our multiculturalism.”
Telling Australian stories, stories of the past, present and future, BOAA Art 2018 will reflect what it means to be Australian today. Ballarat is well placed to host Victoria’s most significant contemporary visual art festival having a celebrated regional gallery, The Art Gallery of Ballarat, along with an important public art collection, growing contemporary scene, heritage buildings and beautiful natural environment.
