AUSSIE HORROR FILM 'THE MARSHES' GROWS FEAR FOR HALLOWEEN

Australian cinema will show its talent for Halloween this year with a screening of The Marshes which will feature a Question and Answer (Q&A) session with Writer/Director Roger Scott.

The special film screening and Q&A session will be held at all three locations; Melbourne, Brisbane and Lismore, with the film having its world premiere at the A Night of Horror Film Festival in December last year.

The film is written and directed by Roger Scott and producer by Christine Tan, and features stars Dafna Kronental, Mathew Cooper, Sam Delich, and Eddie Baroo (Wolf Creek, Spin Out) and is set deep in the remote Macquarie Marshes in NSW’s Central West.

Centred on Dr Pria Anan, (acted by Dafna Kronental) the film tells the story of this university researcher who is trying to negotiate her high-pressure work environment while also fighting for her beloved marshland ecosystem. With time against her, and the future of her research at risk, the marshland's future soon depends on her (this last field trip) but it is soon taken over by a rising fear and evil which begins to manifest - and suddenly, survival becomes the focus.
