Melbourne is slowing opening up and a signs of this Xplore Melbourne app that invites people back into the city with a free self-guided, augmented reality scavenger hunt, featuring art, music, and discovery points.
Celebrating getting back to the city’s favourite hidden bars, restaurants and retailers, the outdoor art exhibition has reactivated the city with colour and flare by giving local artists creative reign, with the city as their backdrop.
Ending March 31, there is still a week left to enjoy the abundance of prizes, special offers and giveaways embedded throughout the interactive game. Prizes include tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, admission to Gabrielle Chanel at the NGV, as well as $250 vouchers to be cashed in, to put towards dining, shopping and accommodation venues throughout the CBD.
Xplore Melbourne will also feature music performances powered by AR will showcase an exciting roster of budding local talent down AC/DC Lane such as Geelong’s sensuous, enigmatic six-piece CRY BABY. Singing songs of love, loss and redemption with razor-sharp riffs, roaring bass lines and thundering drums, CRY BABY will take you on a journey through a fusion of soul, doom, post-punk and funk. Xplore Melbourne activates 13 different locations that creatively unlock art and music, as well as offering up exclusive specials, such as retailer discounts and the chance to win free tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child or admission to Gabrielle Chanel at the NGV.

There are ‘9 Discovery Points’ that must be found:
· Discovery Point #1 is at the Nicholas Building
· Download the EyeJack app
· Scan the QR code to activate Xplore Melbourne
· There is a clue at each location which will direct punters to the next
There is also a $250 shopping, dining, stay voucher to be used in the CBD. To enter this draw, Xplore will post the moveable artwork of the month to their social media accounts, and punters will be required to find the artworks location and share it across social media.
